The AI4EDU project hosted an event titled “AI in Education” on December 9, 2023, at the Music School of Pallini, Greece, targeting ICT teachers of secondary education. Led by ARC’s Pepi Stamouli and Vassilis Katsouros, the event drew around 200 participants, including Greek teachers of ICT and Natural Sciences. The presentation, titled “Education in the era of Generative AI,” covered an introduction to AI, Generative AI, and ChatGPT, emphasizing specific use cases for teaching support while addressing ethical AI use. Stamouli and Katsouros showcased the Study Buddy and Teacher Mate prototypes, followed by engaging discussions on challenges in AI implementation within education. The event, organized by the Directorate of Secondary Education of East Attika, Ministry of Education, facilitated knowledge exchange and collaboration among educators and AI practitioners.
