
Before the pilots, teachers and students in all four countries participated in dedicated training sessions to familiarise themselves with the AI4EDU tools and evaluation instruments. Sessions focused on using the Study Buddy and Teacher Mate assistants for several teaching and learning activities, e.g. lesson planning, content creation, concept explanation etc. as well as on informing teachers about the evaluation procedures and instruments.
- Cyprus: Eight secondary school teachers joined an online training session (31 January 2025) led by the University of Cyprus (UCY). Following this, 119 students were trained by their teachers on the Study Buddy use (7/2/2025)
- Greece: Eleven teachers attended an in-person workshop (28 January 2025) at Ellinogermaniki Agogi (EA), Athens, Greece, conducted by researchers of the Athena Research Center (ARC). After that, 98 students were trained by their teachers on the Study Buddy use, with the participation of EA researchers of the AI4EDU team (2/2/2025).
- Ireland: On January 22 2025 six teachers at St Thomas’ SNS in Dublin were trained under the coordination of Drumcondra Education Center (DEC) team members. Most of them were already familiar with the AI4EDU platform from previous usability pilots. On the same day, 48 students were trained on the SB use by their teachers, under the supervision of DEC team members.
- Sweden: On January 17th, Lulea University of Technology (LTU) provided participants with user guide videos introducing the AI4EDU applications, SB and TM, to support both teachers and students in navigating the platforms. 6 teachers at Björknäsgymnasiet in Boden participated in a hands-on session organised by LTU on January 23, while students were trained by their teachers (22/1/2025) on the Study Buddy use
