On November 28, 2024, AI4EDU participated in the Athena Forum 2024, hosted at the Benaki Museum in Athens and organized by the Athena Research Center. The event brought together key figures from the research, business, and policy communities to engage in dialogue around the future of artificial intelligence and its applications in education. AI4EDU presented its flagship AI-powered tools, Teacher Mate and Study Buddy, which are designed to reshape learning environments by offering tailored support to both educators and students.
During the forum, AI4EDU demonstrated how Teacher Mate supports teachers by enabling them to generate assessments, track student progress, create dynamic lesson plans, and access AI-generated feedback aligned with curriculum objectives. Study Buddy, in parallel, was showcased as an AI companion for students, offering interactive learning sessions, summarizing educational content, guiding revisions, and facilitating self-assessment through quiz generation and automated grading. Both tools generated significant interest among the forum attendees.
Throughout the event, approximately 200 visitors engaged with the AI4EDU booth, including educators, researchers, business representatives, and policy advisors. Many visitors took part in live demonstrations and expressed enthusiasm about the tools’ potential to foster inclusive and engaging learning environments while reducing administrative burdens on teachers.
The Athena Forum proved to be a valuable networking opportunity, opening channels for dialogue and potential collaborations on how AI technologies can be further integrated into educational ecosystems. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing AI4EDU’s mission to empower educators and students through accessible and innovative AI-driven solutions. AI4EDU’s active participation not only highlighted its technological advancements but also reaffirmed its commitment to redefining the educational landscape with forward-thinking AI applications.
