AI4EDU applications evaluation will also increase our knowledge on the multi-dimensional implications of the deployment of AI technologies in specific teaching-learning scenarios and will provide feedback in tackling issues relevant to the ethical, secure, trustworthy, equitable and inclusive implementation of AI in education. Main issues that will be raised and addressed include security and personal data protection, data ownership, privacy, biases introduced and transparency to the AI decision-making. Moreover, policy issues, as well as socioeconomic aspects that underlie the adoption of AI solutions in real educational settings, such as school organisation and administration readiness, technical equipment and infrastructure availability to the members of the educational community, global education policy, socioeconomic, cultural of geographical barriers to AI educational solutions adoption, students and teachers’ readiness in terms of skills and competences etc., will be investigated and highlighted. Implementation guidelines and policy recommendations will be the output of the AI4EDU applications’ evaluation procedure, addressing the aspect or learning for AI-human collaboration, which has important implications on how we can prepare the educational community to live and work with AI.
