Nicolas Kanaris
Personal Information
Nikolas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Athens and has 7 years of experience in the position of primary school teacher. In addition he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the University of Cyprus, and has completed his Ph.D. in Computational Fluid Dynamics at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, from the University of Cyprus. He has also worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Cyprus and the Cyprus Institute in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics, in complex geometries. For the last eight years he is working at the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute in the Educational Technology Department in the field of digital competences (for schools, teachers, and students) and the use of digital technologies for enhancing and improving teaching and learning. He has participated in numerous innovative policy experimentation EU projects, focusing on transversal skills, STEM, digital assessment practices, and concrete innovation strategies and actions for employing digital technologies more effectively in teaching and learning.
