Work Experience:

Spyridoula Stamouli has been working as a Research Associate at the Institute for Language & Speech Processing / “Athena” R.C. since 2002 and has participated in many R&I projects, mainly focusing on the development of educational technology applications targeting different age groups and covering a wide range of learning needs (children and adults, native speakers and bilingual minority populations, learners of foreign languages, typical and atypical populations). In particular, she has been working on the development of Technology-Enhanced Learning applications for teaching, learning and assessment of native and foreign languages, as well as for the assessment of learning difficulties and speech & language impairments. He has long experience in designing and conducting experimental linguistic research, including the design and delivery of experimental procedures and language data collection protocols, data annotation and analysis procedures. Her research interests include the study of language comprehension and production mechanisms with eye tracking systems, the investigation and adoption of multimodal communication technologies applied in the fields of education and e-health, and the development of automated procedures for the evaluation, detection and treatment of communication disorders (speech and language impairments) for children and adults with speech and natural language processing technologies.
