The EduTech Summit & Expo, held on the 1st of June 2024 at Zappeion Megaron in Athens, successfully addressed the challenges and needs of integrating technology into educational institutions, focusing on how public and private sectors can collaborate to create effective policies for this transition. The rapid technological advancements transforming life, particularly the job market, were emphasized, leading to discussions on how students, workers, employers, and entrepreneurs need to be educated to meet these new demands. Automation, robotics, and digitization were recognized as reshaping jobs, prompting education systems to adapt both in the use of technology and in teaching relevant skills. The conference highlighted the critical need to reorganize education for the digital age, showcasing interactive solutions and modern learning methods, with a strong focus on the role of generative AI in education.
EA’s Gregory Milopoulos was invited to participate in an open roundtable discussion with school authorities, local authorities, researchers, academics, and teachers on the use of generative AI in education.
