The Researcher’s Night 2024, hosted by Ellinogermaniki Agogi and the Municipality of Pallini on September 27, 2024, was a great success. Part of the European initiative “PICO: Physics for All,” this event took place at the school’s premises and attracted over 500 visitors. Attendees were treated to an immersive journey through 400 years of scientific discoveries, featuring talks, workshops, and exhibitions on space missions, astronaut life, Mars shelters, and AI applications.
The AI4EDU project had a dedicated stand at the event, which drew significant attention from participants. Gregory Milopoulos from Ellinogermaniki Agogi presented the innovative educational tools “Study Buddy” and “Teacher Mate,” showcasing how AI-driven assistants can enhance both learning and teaching. Visitors were highly engaged with the stand, intrigued by the potential of large language models to transform education, making it one of the most popular attractions of the event. This highlighted the innovative use of AI in education, as part of the broader scientific celebration, which included planetary observations, neuroscience experiments, and F1 car designs crafted by students.
