The AI4EDU project played a significant role at the International Seminar: Paths of Innovation, where Dr. Daithí Ó Murchú delivered his keynote on educational transformation and disruption. AI4EDU is a European Union co-funded initiative aimed at integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into various educational sectors to foster innovative teaching and learning practices. The project is designed to empower teachers and students with AI-driven tools, creating more interactive, flexible, and personalized learning experiences.

At the seminar, AI4EDU sessions addressed a range of topics across different educational disciplines. For example, one of the sessions focused on the integration of AI into physical education, arts, and music, aiming to explore AI’s practical applications in creative subjects. Another session was dedicated to language education, demonstrating how AI can enhance learning outcomes by fostering creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. The project’s hands-on approach provided educators with tools and methods to integrate AI into their curricula, aligning with existing educational standards and objectives.

The broader goals of AI4EDU were to enhance collaboration, promote inclusivity, and ensure that AI applications in education cater to diverse learning needs. By incorporating AI, the project aimed to bridge accessibility gaps, create more engaging learning environments, and foster continuous teacher and student empowerment. The plenary sessions, including Dr. Ó Murchú’s keynote, reflected the project’s emphasis on transforming 21st-century education through the innovative use of AI, ultimately seeking to prepare students for the future by reshaping traditional educational paradigms.
